About Me

Hi! I’m Chris. I live and work in rural Northants with my partner and two cats. I currently run a Music Department at a local secondary school. I’m a keen musician who after graduating from Leeds University went on to study for a Masters in Music before training to teach. I have a wide interest in music ranging from early classical (with particular specialism in the Baroque) to modern day popular styles. I’m also a keen instrumentalist who plays Piano, Flute, Ukulele and Mandolin amongst other instruments.

I love to take part in community music making and as well as teaching Ukulele, I run a Ukulele Orchestra and a community choir. Helping people to foster their passion for music and develop their talent is at the heart of what I do. Ukulele is a real passion. Since teaching myself to play I have taught others as a way to form a group for which he could play in. That group is now over 9 years old and has a regular group of people who love to play together for fun and then share this with various audiences.

I love teaching the uke, lots of people ask for lessons and have great fun learning through individual tailored tuition. I also run regular community sessions where a larger group learn to play together, you can find out about the latest courses on this site, what I offer or get in touch to book your own session.

I’m really looking forward to meeting you and helping you find out just how fun this instrument is and what you can do in next to no time!
